Besides my interests in international relations and politics, I enjoy traveling, drinking copious amounts of coffee, homebrewing beer, watching old episodes of Archer, Rick and Morty, and King of the Hill, and cheering for The Ohio State University.

I love living in Fort Lauderdale! The seafood, the weather, the beaches, the easy access to cool places like Miami Beach and Key West. Although I love it here in South Florida, my favorite place in the world will always be New Orleans, Louisiana. I lived there for a year while serving as Visiting Assistant Professor at Tulane University from 2013-14 and I fell madly in love with the city. The city has the most unique combination of history, culture, art, food, music, and architecture. The sights, sounds, and smells combine to create a place unlike any other. I think it was Tennessee Williams who said "America has only three cities: New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland."
